Travel Tips
 
Weather: The average temperature in Roatan is 80 deg. F., with only a few days of rain and high winds in late fall and early winter. The Trade Winds provide natural air conditioning and humidity averages 25%. Insect repellent is sold at the resort, but guests who are really sensitive to insect bites may want to bring their preferred kind.
 
Attire: Attire is casual as the island is very informal and a relaxed atmosphere prevails. Note: Beachtowels are not provided so be sure to bring your own.
 
Currency: US dollars are used at the resort and accepted throughout the island. Local currency is the Lempira which currently is at about Lps.14.00 for $1.00 US. However, the exchange rate fluctuates daily.
 
Time Zone : For all you West Coast people Honduras is 2 hrs. ahead on Central Time.
