Hidden Paradise:
Participants stay at a private resort on the Island of Roatan — one of the Caribbean's best-kept secrets. Spectacularly set in the middle of a hillside jungle, it offers guests panoramic views of fiery sunsets and a unique chance to escape from the hectic pace of "civilization." The resort spreads from the lush tropical foliage on the hills down to a shimmering lagoon with two private palm-covered islets (keys) surrounded by a protected lagoon and reef. Guests staying on one of the keys travel back and forth by boat taxi. The resort exudes an atmosphere of cleanliness, beauty, comfort and relaxation.
Roatan:
Roatan is the largest of the Bay Islands, approximately 40 miles off the Northwest coast of Honduras in Central America. It is 30 miles wide and the highest elevation is 900 feet. The Bay Islands are noted for having one of the world's greatest chain of barrier reefs that provide the perfect setting for spectacular scuba diving.
Bungalows:
Accommodations are wooden bungalows, double occupancy, most with high visibility glass windows and air conditioning. Bungalows are located on one of the keys and the hillside. All bungalows have hot water, a shower, toilet, 110V 60hz electricity and either a porch or sundeck. Most bungalows have two double beds, or one double and one single bed.
Meals:
Three delicious
meals a day are served in the open-air restaurant on the hillside
with a view of the lagoon. Plenty of fruit and vegetables are included
in the fare. There is also an open bar serving refreshments and appetizers.
Staff:
The
staff are friendly, relaxed and exceptionally helpful in making your
stay a true vacation.
